Up in Edmonton, SNFU were also recording their debut album, \u003cem\u003e...And No One Else Wanted to Play\u003c\/em\u003e, in December of that year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIt was also the year this Tokai Breezysound TTE-50 BLR was made in Japan.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTokai had some of the coolest guitar names of the era — Breezysound, Springy Sound, Love Rock — and behind those names were some seriously well-built instruments. Japanese Tokais from this period developed a reputation for exceptional quality, and the Breezysound has become one of the most recognizable examples.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis one has aged exactly the way you hope a vintage guitar will.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe original Blonde finish has developed a warm, naturally aged patina that now leans beautifully toward butterscotch, with the wood grain still visible underneath. There are chips, marks and honest signs of playing throughout, but that is part of what gives a 42-year-old guitar like this its character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eMaybe blondes really do have more fun.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe round-lam rosewood fingerboard gives the guitar the classic early-’60s-style look, while period details including the Tokai-stamped six-saddle bridge, vintage-style Deluxe tuners and original “50” model-grade sticker help give this Breezysound its unmistakable vintage Tokai identity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe guitar does have two known non-original exterior components.
