At the core of the PACS+11SM is the Reflectone™ pickup system, co-developed with Rupert Neve Designs. Unlike traditional high-output pickup systems that prioritize compression or coloration, Reflectone™ pickups are designed around balance, clarity, and dynamic articulation. The S-H configuration delivers everything from clean modern single-coil articulation to thick humbucker punch while maintaining impressive note separation and control. Yamaha’s Focus Switch further expands the tonal range, allowing players to move between tighter modern textures and fuller, more aggressive voices without sacrificing clarity.

The chambered alder body uses Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process to improve resonance and overall response while reducing unnecessary weight.
