The Yamaha LJ16 ARE builds on the LJ6 platform with upgraded all-solid construction, delivering greater depth, resonance, and dynamic range in a more controlled medium jumbo format. Built around Yamaha’s LJ body, it offers a focused, balanced voice that stands apart from larger dreadnought-style guitars.

While many players default to larger body acoustics, the LJ shape provides a more controlled low end and a clearer midrange that often becomes the preferred choice once experienced in person. The LJ16 ARE takes this further with an all-solid wood build, offering increased tonal complexity and responsiveness.

Drawing on experience across a wide range of acoustic body styles, the LJ design consistently stands out for its balance, comfort, and clarity. The move to solid rosewood back and sides adds harmonic richness, sustain, and a broader tonal range while maintaining control and definition.

The solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, giving the guitar a more open, broken-in response from the start. It responds quickly to both light touch and more aggressive playing, making it adaptable across a wide range of styles.

The medium jumbo body improves playing comfort without sacrificing projection, making it particularly well suited for recording, live performance, and more detailed playing styles. Yamaha’s scalloped bracing supports a balanced and consistent response across the full range.

The Dark Tinted finish gives the guitar a more vintage-inspired look with added visual warmth while maintaining a clean, refined appearance.

Equipped with a passive SRT Zero Impact pickup, the LJ16 ARE is ready for simple amplification and can also be used for straightforward recording setups when a natural, direct signal is needed. A protective pro gig bag is included for transport and everyday use.
