The Yamaha LS16 ARE builds on the compact LS platform with upgraded all-solid construction, delivering greater depth, sustain, and tonal complexity in Yamaha’s small body / concert format. It keeps the controlled, articulate response that defines the LS shape while adding the richer voice and dynamic range of solid rosewood back and sides.

While larger body guitars emphasize power and low-end weight, the LS design focuses on precision, balance, and note definition. The LS16 ARE takes that clarity further with an all-solid rosewood body, giving the guitar more harmonic depth, extended sustain, and a broader tonal range while still maintaining excellent separation.

Drawing on experience across a wide range of acoustic body styles, the LS shape consistently stands out for its responsiveness and control. In this all-solid rosewood version, it becomes especially strong for fingerstyle, recording, and players who want a compact guitar with a refined, high-detail acoustic voice.

The solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, giving the guitar a more open, broken-in response from the start. Paired with solid rosewood back and sides, it delivers clarity, depth, and dynamic response without losing the precision that makes the LS body so useful.

The smaller body size improves comfort and control, making it ideal for extended playing sessions and players who prefer a compact feel with serious acoustic performance.

The Natural finish highlights the grain of the spruce top and rosewood body, giving the guitar a clean, traditional appearance.

Equipped with a passive SRT Zero Impact pickup, the LS16 ARE is ready for simple amplification and can also be used for straightforward recording setups when a natural, direct signal is needed. A protective pro gig bag is included for transport and everyday use.
