Unlike a traditional acoustic guitar, the SLG200S keeps acoustic volume extremely low, making it useful for apartment playing, late-night sessions, hotel rooms, backstage practice, and situations where full acoustic volume is not practical.
The compact frame design gives the SLG200S a comfortable playing position while remaining lightweight, portable, and easy to store. The removable frame section also makes it much easier to travel with than a full-size acoustic guitar.
With Yamaha’s SRT-powered preamp system, the SLG200S delivers a natural amplified sound that works well through headphones, acoustic amps, PA systems, or recording gear. It gives players a more realistic acoustic-style response than a basic direct pickup sound.
