The alder body provides balanced resonance and strong foundational low-frequency response across all five strings, while Yamaha’s updated BB body shape improves comfort and weight distribution without losing the traditional BB identity. The custom V7 pickup configuration combines the warmth and authority of a split-coil neck pickup with the articulation and clarity of a single-coil bridge pickup, giving players access to a broad range of usable tones across rock, pop, funk, metal, indie, and session work.
