The Yamaha LS16M ARE builds on the compact LS platform with upgraded all-solid construction and a warm, focused mahogany voice. Built around Yamaha’s LS body (small body / concert), it delivers a controlled, articulate response with added depth, sustain, and tonal maturity.

While larger body guitars emphasize power and low-end weight, the LS design focuses on precision, balance, and note definition. The LS16M ARE takes that clarity further with solid mahogany back and sides, giving the guitar a warm midrange, strong fundamental tone, and a direct response that works beautifully for detailed playing.

Drawing on experience across a wide range of acoustic body styles, the LS shape consistently stands out for its responsiveness and control. In this all-solid mahogany version, it becomes especially strong for fingerstyle, vocal accompaniment, and recording situations where separation and warmth both matter.

The solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with Yamaha’s A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) process, giving the guitar a more open, broken-in response from the start. Paired with solid mahogany back and sides, it offers a balanced, focused tone without excessive overtones.

The smaller body size improves comfort and control, making it ideal for extended playing sessions and players who prefer a compact feel with serious acoustic performance.

The Natural finish highlights the grain of the spruce top and mahogany body, giving the guitar a clean, understated appearance.

Equipped with a passive SRT Zero Impact pickup, the LS16M ARE is ready for simple amplification and can also be used for straightforward recording setups when a natural, direct signal is needed. A protective pro gig bag is included for transport and everyday use.
